Re: Health Screening

Hi people, Just a note, for the 5 insurers that offer the integrated private medical insurance (medishield upgrade) will NOT bear the cost of sending for medical checkups during application. Meaning if they require certain reports etc, the client will need to bear the cost of obtaining those reports...

Re: How to Deal with Rising Health care Cost?

Hi Ray, Great sharing, indeed insurance is not the best solution in some cases. And he has correctly pointed out that indirectly causes the rise in treatment cost, medical inflation doesnt go in tandem with normal inflation. A tip to add, try your very best not to tell your doctor or just say not su...

Re: 14 day free look

Hi juxstapose, You may want to call the insurer direct to confirm, different insurers have different procedures. From my understanding, normally I letter from the policy holder is required. The agent only facilitates the admin process. Hope it helps. To cancel a policy within the free look period, w...

Re: Is there need to change medical/hospitalization plan

Hi Alina, A little overkill, a 3rd authentication from a practitioner, thats correct. You don't necessarily need to stick with one insurer. The basic medishield cover (assuming healthy when ur medishield started) will not be affected by the special terms when upgrading to as-charge plan. Hi Albert, ...

Re: it makes MORE sense to start investing now!

i have registered for the stocks seminar, but will not get to attend it until the next session in November. with the interest rates getting lower and lower (frankly i really didn't expect it to go lower than 0.1%), i am getting more and more anxious to learn to start investing. the value of my mone...

SRS is not suitable for me. Firstly, I don't earn that high income - just above the minimum to pay IRAS. Secondly, I don't see how I can buy and hold shares for the next 20 years. If I bought shares 2 months ago I will be making great capital losses now and for the next 12 months or so. If I cut lo...

Hi Dennis, Is the fire insurance mentioned still available? Do you have fire insurance for your house? Most people said they have. The answer is both Yes and No. The type of Fire insurance most people have only covers the ?structure? of the building. It does not anything else. How much did you spen...
